Nose:
A strong nose of nail varnish remover immediately after pouring. If you let it settle for a while you will get aromas of warm malt and cooked mash, sweet luscious caramelized pear and smashed yellow apple.
Also hints of orange peel, lemon peel, dried fruits, vanilla, caramel, toffee, crème brûlée and raisins. -
Palate:
On the palate you will experience a strong and oily mouth covering palate.
With flavors of caramel, toffee, nutmeg, maltiness, new wood, vanilla, nail vanish remover, muesli bar with raisins and cookie dough.
But also hints of chocolate, crème brûlée, marzipan, coffee beans, rum raisins, and licorice.
In the end some bitterness of ginger and fresh cracked black pepper are noticeable.

Medium long finish with ginger that give you that bitterness and spices like cracked black pepper.
But also a balanced finish with caramel and maltiness. Hints of toffee, vanilla, raisins and cookie dough. -
Conclusion:
This robust Cask Strength Single Malt whisky by Cley Distillery is a good example of new oak maltiness that is powerful enough to give you what you are asking for.
Even though its a youthful single malt whisky the balance and flavors are present. The spiciness in the end really gives it that kick of a cask strength whisky.
Cley did a really nice job here with their Dutch Cask Strength Whisky.
